BSMI testing and certification

The Taiwan Bureau of Standards, Metrology (BSMI), under the leadership of the government's economic department, has formulated product inspection specifications for electronic and electrical products entering the Taiwan market, and requires that products must comply with safety, EMC testing and related tests before they can be authorized to use the BSMI mark. BSMI certification is a mandatory product certification, which has requirements for EMC electromagnetic compatibility and SAFETY. BSMI certification is usually valid for 3 years, however, BSMI currently does not have factory inspections, but must be done in accordance with the regulations of the Bureau of Standards. Therefore, the certification mode of BSMI is: product inspection + registration supervision.

In January 2019, the Bureau of Standards, Inspection and Inspection of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan issued the "Relevant Inspection Regulations for Wireless Charger Products that Should Be Inspected", Taiwan will include wireless charger products in the mandatory scope of BSMI commodity inspection, before wireless charging only required NCC certification in Taiwan, from January 1, 2020, wireless charging into Taiwan requires NCC certification and BSMI certification.
